|In what ways do you and your sub team help the team?|
|My Mechanical team and I are responsible for the design and build of the Robot Chassis and the gear holder. As a part of the Business Team, I am work with writing up grant submissions and contribute to the Business Plan. As a part of the Imagery Team, I work on the design of team spirit wear and the team graphics. As a part of the Digital Media and Photo Video Team, I help with the creation and maintenance of the website as well as the monitoring of Social media. I also help with contributions to the newsletter and formatting and editing it.|
|What is FIRST to you?|
|FIRST is where I get to learn all there is about engineering a robot. It is a platform to expose students to all facets of engineering. FIRST fosters leadership skills as well as hones the students skills in the non-technical areas. FIRST has made me realize “It’s the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.” – John Wooden|
|What is your favorite memory so far about robotics?|
My favorite memory is us going to the State Championships in 2015 to compete for the Rookie All Star Award and getting the opportunity to meet Dean Kamen.
|Why did you decide to join robotics?|
|I have a penchant and passion for building things with my hands and Robotics provided me the perfect outlet to channel this.|
|What do you want to learn this season?|
|I want to gain more in depth knowledge on the mechanical and technical aspects of the robot.|
|What are three fun facts about yourself?|
|I am an Eagle Scout with 3 palms as of now. I have been on numerous High Adventure trips with Scouts and have been stalked by a mountain lion when hiking the Rocky Mountains.
I have been a National Finalist for the Letters About Literature contest all through my middle school years. I have been felicitated at Comerica Park for winning the Jackie Robinson Essay Contest and got to meet Rajai Davis and Torii Hunter. The first 1 and a half pages on Google are all about me. (Type Ryan Chatterjee Rochester Hills).
I am a part of 3 schools (International Academy OKMA Campus, Rochester High School, and Stoney Creek High School), I play 4 instruments (Baritone/Euphonium, French Horn, Tuba, and Piano), speak 4 languages (English, Bengali, Hindi, and German), cook Indian food decently, have a Black Belt in Kenpo Karate and actually used to play Hockey (and have skated at the Joe Louis Arena).
